Amplis Construction are a new construction and maintenance group based in Ipswich, Suffolk who provide a friendly and flexible service on all new-build, refurbishment and maintenance projects. Covering Essex, Suffolk, London and the surrounding regions, they work on construction, refurbishment, maintenance and facilities management projects for a range of private and public sector industries.
When we were approached by Amplis, they had already used another agency to develop their branding. However, they needed an agile and flexible agency to quickly design and develop a quality website for their new business – and so this is what we did. Within 2 months, their site was up and ready for them to start marketing their brand to potential new customers. When designing the site, we looked at how we could position Amplis as different to competitors while also highlighting their USPs. Additionally, we looked at how we could add points of interest – such as moving animations and subtle graphics. We also went and took photographs for Amplis on their sites to create visuals that could be used across their marketing.
We were also asked about designing their tender pack, which we were able to do quickly and efficiently thanks to our expertise and specialism in construction. We created a bespoke illustration for the front of one particular submission, where the image in question reflected how the finished space would look.
With a fantastic website built and ready to be seen, Amplis now needed our support on a business development front. They had a wide list of prospective customers that needed refining into a strategy and our Sales Director was on hand to lead this for them. Business development is never a quick approach and to get a conversion within 3 months would be absolutely excellent. This is even harder within construction, where the lead times are longer on projects. However, we have still had some great initial successes – even with the threat of COVID-19 on the economy.

These positive wins included adding 58 contacts to their CRM system, identifying 17 strong tender opportunities, registering as a supplier for 6 block management companies, applying to become a supplier for leading public and private sector businesses, and writing bids for numerous opportunities – of which there has been very strong feedback suggesting some potential wins on the horizon.
