Creating a brand and strategically positioning Sophie James Décor Paint as producers of exceptional, luxury paints.  

OBJECTIVE

Sophie James faced the challenge of expanding market reach and increasing sales while preserving its family-run image. Despite having an existing logo, product range, and an Etsy shop, there was a need for a strategic brand refresh and a comprehensive content strategy to elevate Sophie James to a position of producers of exceptional, luxury paints. 

Solutions

  • Developed an innovative brand concept, personifying the brand personality through a lion symbol, emphasising family, tactile experience, regality, and British heritage. 

  • Incorporated the lion symbol into the new logo and brand guidelines, to be used consistently across all channels, from product packaging to social media. 

  • Designed the Sophie James website for maximum impact, featuring clear messaging, prominent USPs, colour range stories, and an "inspired" section for creative use examples. 

  • Planned and delivered a thorough social media strategy, positioning Sophie as the brand ambassador, and encouraging cross-promotion with customers and décor accounts. 

  • Undertook four photoshoots on site with the client, creating an asset library for future use and aligning visual content with the aspirational, lifestyle brand positioning. 

  • Worked collaboratively on social media campaigns, brochure creation, sales emails, PPC advertising, print advertising, and media exposure to enhance brand awareness and drive sales. 

Impact

Sophie James successfully implemented the new brand guidelines and setup, achieving media coverage and establishing a partnership with an upcycling company for expanded reach. The social media engagement reflected in the #sophiejamesdecor hashtag with 248 engagements, along with a growth to 450 Instagram followers, indicated increased brand visibility. The deliverables encompassed a comprehensive brand refresh, guidelines, product design, brochure, website, social media strategy, print and email campaigns, photography, videography, and PPC, collectively contributing to Sophie James's enhanced market positioning and sustained growth.
